BAFTA Albert's New Toolkit is coming. Here's what to know for launch on 16 September 2026, with the Current Toolkit closing on 17 December 2026.

What is the Next Generation Toolkit?

The Next Generation BAFTA Albert Toolkit is a web-based carbon emissions tracking platform that provides comprehensive forecasting, measurement & reporting, actionable decarbonisation insights and certification for sustainable productions.

Significant enhancements have been made to develop the Next Generation Toolkit, including a new Carbon Calculator, Sustainable Production Guidance, and updated Certification Programme. 

The Next Generation Toolkit will launch on the 16th September 2026, with the Current Toolkit closing on December 17th 2026.

Transitioning Toolkits
After we launch the Next Generation Toolkit on Wednesday 16 September, the Current Toolkit will remain functional for a transitionary period until closing on December 17th 2026.

Which Toolkit you use will depend upon when your production is due to complete post-production.

The Carbon Footprint Data Tracker

The Carbon Footprint Data Tracker is designed to help make the transition to the Next Generation Toolkit as smooth as possible.

This Excel Data Tracker will enable teams to collect quality data to be uploaded onto the Next Generation Toolkit from its launch on 16th September 2026.

Please note, this should only be used for working with the Next Generation Toolkit and not the Current Toolkit.
